School Nurse Summer Programs Lawrence

General Description:
The public schools of Brookline, a large, dynamic, diverse and exciting school community, is seeking an experienced school nurse who will serve in a pivotal role that bridges health care and education for the summer sessions.
This position can be job-shared

Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide direct nursing care to students; assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management and referral as indicated
Review health information submitted for summer programs
Collaborate with summer staff to review pertinent health information
Prepare and maintain student health records, including current immunizations as mandated by state regulations for students registering for school for the fall.
Administer daily and PRN (as needed) medications and nursing care procedures prescribed by the student's physician.
Initiate emergency procedures for students and staff as needed.
Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Current MA nurse license;
Current CPR certification;
DESE certified; Minimum of 3 years school nurse experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a nurse, preferably in pediatrics, emergency or public health
