School Liaison - INR
The person in this position functions as a School Liaison for the Academic Year Component on-site during the after-school program for KSU Upward Bound (UB).
Additional Basic Function if applicable:
On site supervision of after school program staff and students; deliver Pre-College informational sessions, collect and submit grade reports, schedules and test scores.
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
1.Coordinate with UB administrators and other UB staff in implementing after-school sessions for UB students
2.Coordinate with UB Director/Assistant Director on the delivery of Pre-College informational sessions (as necessary)
3.Provide on-site supervision of after-school program staff and UB students
4.Collect and submit student grade reports, schedules, and test scores
5.Report UB student concerns, problems, and recommendations to administrators of the program
6.Coordinate announcements and space reservations at the high school
The main function of the School Liaison is to help establish and maintain communication with the target school since UB is not present in the school every day.
After-school Program Sessions:
The after-school sessions will be the responsibility of the Academic Coordinator(s)/Assistant Director. In the event that they are not able to attend an after-school session, the School Liaison will fill in and coordinate the session. Different aspects of the after-school sessions may include:
Implementing ACT/SAT preparation
Implementing college readiness, financial literacy, and/or career exploration activities
Building on students' non-cognitive skill base
Providing tutoring support for students
Other things related to the overall college readiness of UB students

Preference will be given to staff who work at the following high schools:
Warren G. Harding
Preferred Qualifications if applicable:
Experience in English, Math or Science
School Districts we serve are: Barberton, Buchtel, Warren G. Harding, Canton Mckinley, Lorain, Ravenna and Windham

This is an intermittent position. Intermittent positions are part-time, on-call, as needed type of positions and you are permitted to work up to 1,000 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30).
Must pass a security check.
