QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a accredited educational institution

  • Registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible for registration having completed educational requirements and supervised practice program

  • Valid Montana driver's license

  • Valid 8 hour ServSafe Exam and Certifications; or ability to complete within 6 months of hire

  • Ability to organize, delegate, instruct, train, schedule and supervise

  • Basic computer/technology skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid ServeSafe Instructor/Proctor Certification

  • Previous experience in a related field or applicable field

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role

  • Reliable attendance

  • Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities

  • Ability to handle stressful situations

  • Ability to maintain accurate records; attention to detail

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationship

FUNCTIONS:

The School Food Services - Dietitian will:

  • Plan menus and develop recipes that meet all federal and state guidelines

  • Participate in all food purchasing activities, including bid specification qualities and bid awards

  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers in the bidding and delivery of goods process

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and families to address special dietary needs

  • Enter student dietary information into POS and communicate with appropriate school level staff

  • Conduct and coordinate food tests with students, staff and food service employees

  • Assist in establishing quality standards for the presentation of service and food

  • Assist with annual Onsite Reviews

  • Implement effective changes and improvements to meet program requirements

  • Maintain a School Nutrition Association Level 1 certification

  • Work independently with minimal supervision

  • Work as a member of the school nutrition team

  • Work effectively under pressure and handle stressful situations appropriately

  • Perform other duties as assigned

LOCATIONS: Great Falls Public Schools District Office

EMPLOYMENT: 40 hrs/week; 12months/yr

SALARY: $26.50 per hour

Position Summary * The Dietary Aide assists the Cook in the preparation and service of meals. * Utilizes protective gear in all appropriate functions * Places prepared food on plates/trays in accordance with tray tickets in line with our established policies and procedures, and, as may be directed by the Food Services Director/Manager or Cook, to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times. * Prepares and delivers food and trays, washes dishes and cleans and sanitizes kitchen according to health standards. * The Dietary Aide must be detail-oriented, well-groomed, act professionally and must be a team player who works well with others. * The Dietary Aide consistently embodies the characteristics necessary to drive the Company's Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA. Qualifications * A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Specialized training in foodservice is desirable. May be required to successfully complete an approved sanitation and safety course. * Ability to read, speak and understand English, follow directions and complete tasks. * Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving. * Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance. * Dependable, with experience working in facilities utilizing quantity food production methods. * General knowledge and understanding of nutrition. * Ability to read and accurately apply requirements of food tray cards. * Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required. * Written and oral communication skills. * Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures. * Ability to interact positively with residents, client and other personnel and the public. Additional Requirements: * Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time. * Must be able to work around food and cleaning products. * Must live in service area. No relocation costs.
