Job Description

This is a part-time position working for the Bartlett Police Department. School Crossing Guards are responsible for the safety of the children crossing busy streets and intersections to and from school.

School crossing guards must maintain a pleasant, courteous and helpful demeanor toward the school children and the general public at all times. By their uniformed presence, School Crossing Guards serve to control both pedestrian and vehicular traffic providing a safer situation for school children. School Crossing Guards are assigned to specific posts for the duration of the school year and must provide their own transportation to and from their posts.

Must be 18 years of age. Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

Must pass background check and physical exam, including a drug screen. Bartlett resident preferred, but not required.
