Join the committed team of professionals at the STEP Program.</p><p>As the Crisis Counselor you are responsible for creating a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for youth as you engage them in Mindfulness activities and develop coping strategies throughout their enrollment. You will have the opportunity to facilitate and co-facilitate daily groups, support youth in self-regulation and stabilization as needed, and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to identify and implement specific interventions tailored to meet the youths' treatment plan.</p><p>ABOUT STEP</p><p>The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration, and Progress) program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca, providing Partial Hospitalization services to youth ages 12-17. The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term and stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe.</p><p>ABOUT SENECA</p><p>Seneca Family of Agencies is committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities a network of outstanding mental health, community-based, and educational services. Our programs are deeply engaged in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in order to bring equity and justice to the youth and families we serve.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Engage the youth in therapeutic activities and projects as well as educational activities.</p></li><li><p>Participate in daily clinical treatment planning with multi-disciplinary team</p></li><li><p>Complete daily progress notes</p></li><li><p>Participate in weekly supervision with the supervisor</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate and timely documentation and paperwork including, but not limited to, mental health notes, incident reports, and timecards.</p></li><li><p>Provide transportation for youth and families when necessary</p></li><li><p>Carry out responsibilities related to prevention of and safety within restraint/seclusion as per Seneca's Equilibrium Policy.</p></li><li><p>Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing Seneca's mission and philosophy</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>Required:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree</p></li><li><p>Own vehicle, valid California driver's license, and auto insurance</p></li><li><p>TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements</p></li><li><p>Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster</p></li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li><p>Experience working with youth in residential care preferred</p></li><li><p>Bilingual Spanish skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to work as a team player and with a diverse population</p></li></ul><p>Schedule</p><ul><li><p>Full-time</p></li><li><p>Mon - Fri; 8AM - 4PM</p></li><li><p>No on call, evening or weekend requirements</p></li></ul><p>Benefits</p><ul><li><p>Starting at $22 an hour, actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification</p></li><li><p>Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam</p></li><li><p>Salary increases each year</p></li><li><p>Comprehensive benefits package:</p></li><li><p>Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture coverage</p></li><li><p>50% paid premiums for dependents</p></li><li><p>Long-term disability, family leave, and life insurance</p></li><li><p>403b Retirement Plan</p></li><li><p>Employer-paid Employee Assistance Plan</p></li><li><p>5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays</p></li><li><p>Scholarship opportunities, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities</p></li></ul> Seneca Center Petaluma CA
