School Counselor

Mount Michael Benedictine School is currently accepting applications for a high school counselor. Mount Michael is a college prep all-boys Catholic school located in Elkhorn, NE. Successful candidates must be able to assist students with academic schedules, support students' social/emotional needs, and work with students enrolling in college.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Commitment to the mission of Mount Michael Benedictine School and abide by the confidentiality policy.

Communicate effectively and have a strong rapport with students, parents, faculty, staff, and other professionals.

Provide advice and helpful resources to students regarding personal and academic situations.

Coordinate and implement the testing program for students.

Provide career advice and guidance to students.

Send transcripts and records upon request to colleges and universities.

Help host events such as freshmen/new student parent information night, open house, career day, and ACT testing day.

Continue personal growth through professional organizations.

Engage in extracurricular activities, coaching, or moderating clubs and activities if necessary, but not required.
