High School Counselor

Buffalo High School is currently accepting applications for a High School Counselor for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Possess valid Missouri certification in School Counseling.

• Hold a master's degree in School Counseling.

• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators to support students.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, competency-based counseling program addressing students' learning, personal/social, and career/vocational needs.

• Exhibit strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage materials, time, and tasks efficiently, along with effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Adhere to the laws of the state of Missouri.

• Follow district policies, regulations, and administrative directives.

The district offers discounted childcare through our daycare program. Salary will be based on the board-approved salary schedule, with the opportunity for qualified candidates to bring up to 20 years of experience.
