Job Title: School Counselor - Middle School Counselor

The Fern Ridge School District 28J is currently seeking applicants for a 1.0 FTE School Counselor position at Fern Ridge Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate license and endorsement(s) in the State of Oregon and demonstrate knowledge of best practices in teaching.

Responsibilities: Work towards creating a vibrant learning community by enhancing the social, emotional, and academic development of our secondary students.

This position will focus on student mental, physical and social health as well as provide behavior and emotional/social supports. School counselors may also facilitate 504 plans and assist with the pre-referral process for Special Education.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing excellence for every student so that each will reach their greatest potential as well as model and teach respect with an awareness of diversity.

Benefit Details: Salary Range: $42,607 - $81,813 depending on education and experience.
