This is a full time position at our Cloud Peak Elementary (grades 3-5)

Acts as a liaison and responds to inquiries for the purpose of providing information on district support

services and/or educational programs.

Assists students in completing and filing applications (e.g. scholarships, college financial aid, etc.) for the

purpose of ensuring completion of application processes within designated time frames.

Assists in the student enrollment process (e.g. collaborates with administration, assists in building the

master schedule, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that students are appropriately placed in classes and

are on target to meet graduation requirements.

Communicates with student guardians as needed and/or assigned (e.g. telephone calls, email, home

visits, etc.) for the purpose of keeping guardians informed of student progress and addressing areas of

concern.

Coordinates with teachers, college and university personnel, resource specialists, outside service

agencies, and/or community members (e.g. service clubs, courts, child protective services, etc.) for the

purpose of providing/receiving requested information and/or making recommendations.

Counsels students, parents, and guardians for the purpose of enhancing student success in school.

Develops a variety of special programs (e.g. career night, financial aid workshops, etc.) for the purpose

of providing information to assist students in the successful transition from high school to career, training

and/or continuing education.

Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records (e.g. daily notes, annual reports,

classroom observations, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring documentation for future reference in

accordance with administrative and legal requirements.

Mediates conflicts between a variety of groups (e.g. parent/teacher, parent/parent, parent/student, etc.)

for the purpose of conducting crisis intervention and resolving issues that could impede student success.

Monitors student progress for the purpose of identifying issues and taking appropriate action for

increasing student success.

Participates in a variety of meetings (e.g. workshops, committees, community groups, etc.) for the

purpose of gathering and sharing information.

Participates in IEP and 504 meetings for the purpose of providing interventions and/or delivering services

in compliance with established guidelines.

Performs individual and group counseling and guidance functions and activities (e.g. career, vocational,

social, emotional, etc.) for the purpose of enhancing student success.
