School Counselor

JOB SUMMARY:

Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high at- risk youth.

The School Counselor provides clinical intervention and support to consumers at the school site to ensure stability. The School Counselor collaborates with the caregivers and school personnel on a regular basis attending IEP meetings and following the IEP plan of care.

STARTING PAY RANGE:

$68,000 - $73,100 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• Masters' Degree in related field required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered MFT, MSW, APCC or Psy. D/Ph. D Intern in California

• Must have a valid intern number registered with the state and in good standing.

• Must maintain valid intern number, registration and good standing with the state as a condition of employment.

• Attend and satisfactorily complete all trainings required by the Agency, federal, state and/or local regulations.

• Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.

• Ability to use a personal car with appropriate insurance for all Agency business and adhering to federal, state and local motor vehicle safety standards when transporting children.

• Fluent in English required.

Due to LAUSD, GUSD and BUSD not allowing unvaccinated contractors on their campuses, we are not able to allow any accommodations in School Based Services. All offers of employment are conditioned on satisfying the above requirement. No inquiries of vaccination status will be made until after a conditional offer of employment has been extended.
