Job Description:

The Connecticut River Academy (http://www.ctriveracademy.org) is a Sustainability Studies/Early College magnet school operated by Goodwin University on its river campus in East Hartford serving students in grades 6 through 12. We are actively searching for a full time School Counselor in the Middle Grades Program to join our dynamic team of educators.

An ideal candidate is someone who has an ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and and who have varying interests. The Middle Grades Program (grades six through eight) bridges the academic and social-emotional success for scholars as they progress from Riverside Magnet School (pre-kindergarten to grade five) to the CT River Academy (grades nine through twelve). The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate and address the needs of urban middle school students. School Counselor Certification (026) or evidence of eligibility is required.
