School Counseling

POSITION: School Counselor                                                                                      LEVEL: K-12

SCHOOLS: Custer Public Schools

SALARY: Minimum: $36,752 (include 5 extra days at daily rate.) + benefits.

Masters Minimum: $41,702. We will take up to 12 years experience.

REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFICATION: Montana Educator Certificate with an endorsement in School Counseling preferred, but not essential. An additional endorsement of Physical Education or Health is needed, or you must be willing to add the endorsement.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

DUTIES: Duties will include Counseling K-12.

Duties will include: scheduling, comprehensive guidance, career counseling, scholarship and financial aid assistance, and testing. There are also several available coaching positions in track, basketball, volleyball, and football.

SCHOOL INFORMATION: The District runs on a 4-day school week.

We just finished building a new athletic facility/gym. Custer is a small rural community that is located about 50 miles east of Billings along I-94 on the way to Miles City. Custer is 30 miles north of Hardin.

The projected enrollment at Custer K-12 Schools is about 90 students, with growth expectations. The staff works closely together with the parents and community to form a family friendly atmosphere. We strive to improve the learning environment for our students.
