The School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate programs seek skilled counselors (school and clinical) and counselor educators to teach a range of courses in our rigorous in-person program. The program faculty are committed to supporting a variety of student interests and needs, and the teaching style is student-focused and relational. Class sizes depend on the nature of the course and can range from 6 to 22. Core faculty share their syllabi and teaching resources with adjuncts, and a virtual forum for adjunct faculty is held every three to four weeks throughout each semester to provide connection with the program and teaching support.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Counseling or a related field (PhD in Counselor Education is preferred)
Clinical license (LPC preferred) or School Counselor certification
At least two years' experience in either a clinical counselor or school counselor role
Two letters of recommendation
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
Commitment to the mission of the University of Saint Joseph.
Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional Information:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Non-Terminal degree holders with 0-6 credits of teaching experience: $2,900 per course
Terminal Degree holders with 0-6 credits of teaching experience: $3,100 per course
Non-Terminal Degree holders with 7+ credits of teaching experience: $3,300 per course
Terminal Degree holders with 7+ credits of teaching experience: $3,600 per course
