Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee. The employee will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by their supervisor.

  • Maintain a reasonable level of good behavior by the children on the bus, minivan, van, or car.

  • Effectively enforce school bus safety rules by making sure students remain in their seats, do not harm themselves or other students, do not eat on the bus and violate other safety regulations.

  • Recognize dangerous situations that would affect the safety of the children and report to the bus driver immediately.

  • After the end of each school run, assist the driver in performing a spot inspection to make sure all children are off the bus.

  • Attend all mandatory safety meetings.

  • Assist in the buckling of children or other safety equipment (if vehicle is equipped with), as outlined by safety laws.

  • Assist in the evacuation of children off the vehicle in an emergency situation.

  • Assist the driver with directions as defined by a pre-determined route sheet.

Qualifications

Pass DCF background check.

This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center. Additionally it will include order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. As the Logistics Supervisor, you will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality. Candidates for this position must have shift flexibility as this will be 3rd Shift - 10pm - 8am, Monday night through Friday night. Your Primary Responsibilities as the Logistics Supervisor: * Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires * Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks * Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve the daily production and delivery goals * Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion * Monitoring the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded * Conducting staff meetings and verifying that daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis * Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function * Utilizing a variety or reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday * Communicate effectively across all levels * Analyzing information effectively to make sound business decisions * Build high performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues Required Qualifications * 2+ years prior supervisory experience OR 2+ years of experience leading in a distribution environment Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Supervisory distribution or manufacturing experience Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
