Under general supervision from the Transportation Manager, safely transports children to and from school and extra-curricular activities in a time efficient manner.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle control, or feel objects, tools or controls; use foot controls to drive; reach with hands and arms; climb; bend, stoop, and kneel. The employee must be physically able to perform and demonstrate emergency evacuation procedures. This includes the pushing/pulling of up to 50 pounds. In addition have the ability to use emergency exits at any location on the bus. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, night/dusk vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Must have a valid unrestricted Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, Arizona School Bus Driver Certification and AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Must possess basic first aid and CPR certification at time of hire.
Driving Requirement:
Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License for the class of vehicle operated. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, unless the Community Manager has determined that the position can be filled by an employees under the age of twenty-one (21). Must have at least one (1) year of experience in the class of vehicle operated.
Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that would allow the candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position, will be considered.
Underfill Eligibility: An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.
Special Requirements
This position is treated as a full-time non-exempt position scheduled for 40 hours per week.
