School Bus Driver - For Extended School Year Programs

This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

Applicants are encouraged to also apply to all other positions that they are qualified for such as those found on the Summer Work posting which are not BOCES ESY positions.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Transportation Department

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 10, 2024 - August 20, 2024.

Some positions start July 8. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.

SALARY RANGE: $17.35 - $19.10 per hour or your 2024-25 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff

Current District Drivers: Meeting Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

Non-District Drivers: Mandatory orientation/training on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at 10:00 AM

DUTIES:

Safe operation of a school bus used to transport Special Education students on assigned routes to and from school and shuttles. The bus driver is responsible for the safety and conduct of students while in transport.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Civil Service eligibility as a School Bus Driver: Possession of a valid NYS driver's license appropriate to the vehicle(s) operated.

2.Current DMV 19A and SED 156.3 Certification, copies to be submitted.

3.Appropriate CDL License.

4.Applicants must commit to working the full 30-day Summer School Program.

5.Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Employment is contingent upon student enrollment and availability of programs.
