Job Title: School Based Therapist
Location: Columbia, Missouri

Employment Type: Full-time, 12 month contract

Job Summary:
As a School Based Therapist, you will assist individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. You will also provide clinical guidance as they move towards recovery. Your responsibilities will include completing intake/screening and/or comprehensive assessment processes, determining and documenting diagnoses and developing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete intake/screening and/or comprehensive assessment process within appropriate time frames as designated by state regulatory/CARF/agency standards.
Determine and document diagnosis based on comprehensive assessment.
Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with state regulatory /CARF guidelines that demonstrate individualization and evolution based on information gathered from assessment.
Complete all correspondence in a timely fashion.
Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
Adhere to weekly service provision model.
Work closely with insurance department to ensure authorized services are approved and adequate information is provided within specified time frames.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Preferred experience in providing family, individual, and group therapy, as well as community education.
Required License/Certification (one of the following):
Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri.
Licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in Illinois.
Additional Qualifications:
A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
