QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate

2.Minimum of 5 years overall teaching experience

3.Master's in Education Preferred

REPORTS TO: Director

SUPERVISES: Such staff as the Director may designate

JOB GOAL: To assist and support teachers to be highly effective classroom

instructors by providing professional development while focusing

on best instructional practices and Louisiana Student Standards.

Use student data to identify individual student deficiencies and

address appropriate instructional interventions.

TERM: Nine Months

SALARY: Nine Month Teacher Salary

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Provide job-embedded, collaborative professional development for teachers through grade-level/department Professional Learning Community meetings (PLCs) along with supporting Districtand School Level Data Teams process;

II. Assist Director with professional development for teachers, attend district-level professional development, and redeliver information to teachers;

III. To research, share, observe, critique and model teaching strategies that have proven effective in improving student performance through weekly grade level meetings;

IV. To serve as Instructional Leader/Coach of Classroom Teachers

a. Team-Teach

b. Models Lessons

c. Provides Classroom Support

d. Participates in Grade-Level Lesson Planning, Assessments, & Data Disaggregation;

V. To analyze student performance data, align curriculum, and recommend changes to meet the objectives of the school improvement plan and state standards;

VI. To provide job-embedded support, guidance, and support to teachers in assigned schools;

VII. To plan and implement professional development activities with principals and teachers;

VIII. Assist and mentor teachers on effective instructional strategies and to understand student performance growth data;

IX. Team-Teach and Model lessons for teachers to assist with the implementation of differentiated instruction and other effective teaching strategies;

X. Facilitate the Response to Intervention (RTI) process;

XI. Informally observe teachers and provide timely feedback to teachers in order to improve

instruction;

XII. Participate and guide the school improvement process;

XIII.Work effectively with district and school personnel, parents, and the community;

XIV. Assist with the state assessment process;

XV. To work effectively with school personnel and staff;

XVI.To consistently demonstrate self-direction;

XVII.To submit accurate records and reports promptly;

XVIII.To exhibit professional ethics;

XIX.To foster open communication and positive relationships with school personnel and staff;

XX. To perform any additional duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or evaluator;
