Spurwink is seeking a collaborative and highly motivated school-based clinician to join our York County Public School Counseling Team. This 4 day per week position is located at Biddeford Intermediate School and serves grades 4-5.

This is a wonderful opportunity to provide individual and family therapy within a school setting, with ample opportunities for regular face-to-face collaboration with teachers and other school personnel. We offer a generous external training allowance, expense money for therapy supplies, license reimbursement, company laptop and cell phone. This is a year round, fee for service position.

Duties:

Duties include conducting psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and providing individual and family therapy. Further responsibilities include submission of KePRO managed care entries for MaineCare clients, clinical documentation and electronic record keeping. Interdisciplinary collaboration and strong networking skills are essential, as is flexibility to travel to homes to meet with families as needed

Qualifications:

All applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling, and Maine Licensure (LMSW-cc, LCSW, LCPC-c, or LCPC).

Login Now Clinician - Behavioral Health Specialist - Martin's Point, Biddeford Job Code:9180Location:Biddeford 04005Department:Therapy Prim Care IntgFT/PT Status:Full Time Summary:Collaborate with primary care practitioners in the Martin's Point Biddeford office where they are integrated to provide brief, solution-focused interventions for patients whose overall wellness can be enhanced by a coordination of their physical and behavioral healthcare. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * Actively participate in analyzing the results of behavioral health screening tools (determined as appropriate for the practice in which they are integrated). * Demonstrate competence in quick and accurate clinical assessment of behavioral health conditions. * Demonstrate an ability to communicate key facts and concerns in both formal and informal opportunities. * Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of brief, evidence-based treatment modalities. * Demonstrate an ability to manage the pace of primary care and working with an interdisciplinary team. * Demonstrate ability to implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of certain chronic and/or co-morbid conditions. * Demonstrate competence in coordinating and managing referrals for behavioral health conditions that require longer term intervention. * Demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate crisis situations and employ appropriate interventions. * Be willing to perform related duties incidental to the tasks outlined above to insure excellent customer service and commitment to team work. JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to utilize technology as a primary support tool in practice * Demonstrated ability working in a team oriented environment * Demonstrated knowledge of the trend toward Patient Centered Medical Homes, collocation of behavioral and physical healthcare, and specific behavioral health related issues such as trauma, substance abuse and recovery-oriented care * A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the social work field * Experience working with individuals as well as families * Possession of and ability to maintain a valid State of Maine driver's license. * Persons with lived experience in the Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse system are encouraged to apply.
