Position Specific Responsibilities

As the Scholarship and Events Coordinator, you will impact the lives of the students in the College of Health Professions by being involved in coordinating, hosting, and attending college level recruitment and promotional events such as the annual CHP week, Clash of the Colleges, and high school recruiting events. You will also coordinate scholarship program communications and fund administration as well as oversee participant benefits, and program coordination.

Coordinates scholarship program communications and fund administration. Oversees participant benefits, program coordination, and assists with student recruitment and/or marketing.

Essential Functions

Coordinates with related departments to facilitate recruitment, outreach, and/or marketing of related programs and services. May lead staff in the design and implementation of communications and educational content.

Monitors compliance with program rules and regulations, provides status updates, and monitors student academic progress as required.

Oversees communications efforts for projects, campaigns, events, programs and/or services. Collaborates with University staff and students to foster academic success.

Oversees program eligibility and distributes awarded funds as appropriate. Monitors records and develops reports.

Requirements

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in related field by hire date

Preferred Education Minimum Experience

One (1) year of experience in student programming or related field

Preferred Experience

Event planning/coordination

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting to meet deadlines and accomplish assigned duties

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); digital collaboration software; and database system

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations

  • High level of accuracy, initiative, and problem solving

  • Ability to understand and interpret rules and regulations and maintain student confidentiality with regard to FERPA

  • Ability to plan and organize college events and see to fruition

Salary Information

Pay Information Salary range begins at $37,000 and is commensurate with experience Overtime Eligibility No Eligible for Shift Differential? No Benefits Eligible? Yes Benefit Information
