CCI Health & Wellness Services empowers patients to partner with staff for an unparalleled healthcare experience. The Scheduling Specialist works in our call center in Silver Spring and serves as the primary scheduler for all CCI patients. S/He schedules appointments, directing patients to the appropriate Health Center personnel when necessary.
Answer telephone promptly in adherence with AIDET protocols.
Route calls to the appropriate area and communicates phone messages as needed.
Work to fill all available appointment slots according to CCI Scheduling Guidelines.
Document all necessary patient information.
Attend daily huddles and provide updates to the team.
Verify insurance at the time of scheduling.
Complete outreach calls to new Managed Care Organization patients and schedule them for visits.
Monitor and retrieve contact information for patients requesting appointments.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum one year of relevant work experience, preferably in a medical setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to navigate information on the internet and within an Electronic Health Record.
Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service in a hectic and sometimes hostile environment
Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
