We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager for our Denver Buildings District office located in Denver, CO.

As the SME as well as the district scheduling resource, the Scheduling Manager owns the scheduling function in the district: leading the project teams in the development and maintenance of complex construction schedules (50%), participating in pursuits (25%), and training others in schedule management (25%).


Primary duties are as follows:

  • Create, maintain, monitor and communicate both the estimating/pursuit and project schedules to the project team and district staff

  • Assist the Superintendent to create and monitor short term schedules and determine the impact on the master schedule

  • Implement sub trade schedules into the master project schedule and help track progress

  • Communicate with project team and sub trades to determine the actual construction progress and provide regular schedule updates based on provided information

  • Design and deliver one-on-one and classroom based training to the project teams with both the technical skills as well as the principles of planning and scheduling, to enable them to maintain their own project schedules

  • Create 2D gantt chart and 4D model-based schedules.

  • Provide progress reporting to PCL staff to ensure sub-trade/crew performance in accordance with milestone dates of PCL Baseline Schedule

  • Incorporate resource and or cost loading data into schedules as required

  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge of all scheduling software to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness

  • Lead and participate in all significant scheduling meetings


  • Technical Skills and Experience

  • 2 year college diploma in engineering or construction related field, 4 year degree preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years of construction scheduling experience, with at least 3 of those years scheduling full time, experience working with a General Contractor in the commercial sector strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years Primavera P6 experience required, Asta Power Project and Synchro experience preferred

  • Knowledge of the Critical Path Scheduling method related to the construction industry

  • Effectively develop and manage a complex construction schedule ( 2K tasks, 4K logic ties)

  • Ability to interpret information given regarding construction progress and/or delays

  • Ability to complete quantity take-offs and understand productivity rates

  • Extensive working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera P3, P6, Synchro, Suretrack and Asta

Interpersonal Skills and Experience:

  • Solid Emotional Intelligence skills, especially with regard to social awareness and relationship management

  • Effective listening and oral communication skills

  • Experience developing and delivering effective classroom-based training

  • Comfortable and confident presenting to small and large groups

Your Key Responsibilities * Reporting to the Director, Global Talent Acquisition, the TAS will establish, build, and grow client relationships with our Business/Practice Leaders, HR Client Services Advisors, and other key stakeholders, while concurrently serving as a direct link into the Recruitment Operations team. * Lead the development and implementation of the strategic Talent Acquisition plans within their global BOU, engaging in conversations related to business unit growth, goals and objectives, hiring needs and internal resource availability. * Ensure relevance of talent planning at both a global and regional level, accounting for submitted project proposals, available internal talent, external market data and competitive intelligence. * Provide insight, market intelligence and counsel regarding industry activities, organizational and human capital developments, and drivers. * Drive outreach activities with 3 rd party associations, career fairs, 3 rd party opportunities, liaise with D&I, Sourcing & Research and Campus teams to deepen community connectivity in alignment with our organizational goals, by region. * Support Strategic Hiring initiatives * Facilitate conversations regarding all Talent Acquisition strategic inputs i.e. strategic pipelines, channel and candidate engagement, strategic workforce planning, total rewards, and strategic partnerships etc. * Work in collaboration with the Talent Brand Manager, Senior Manager, Recruitment Operations & Manager, Sourcing & Research to support recruitment and/or sourcing activity, categorize/prioritize roles based upon appropriate segmentation and ensure buy-in from the Talent Management Team (Hiring Manager & HRCS Consultant). * Collaborate with the Talent Brand Manager, Senior Manager, Recruitment Operations & Manager, Sourcing & Research to develop research plans, target profiles/companies, candidate pipelines, qualifications and competency vetting processes. * Maintain personal accountability for client satisfaction and support a superior candidate experience. * Act as the key point of escalation for all Talent Acquisition needs flowing to and from the Talent Management Team, exercising independent judgment and in-depth evaluation of variable factors to resolve complex situations and build replicable solutions - disseminating solutions across the entire Talent Acquisition organization. * Support the Recruitment process in partnership with Recruitment Operations Manager and through discussions with the Business/Practice Leaders, HR Client Service Advisors, delivering to mutually agreed upon Service Level Partnerships (SLPs). * Proactively deliver customized, weekly reporting metrics to Business/Practice Leaders, HR Client Service Advisors with support from the T.A.
