Position Summary
In this role, you will provide technical and engineering expertise for municipal and private infrastructure construction and maintenance projects. You will review construction drawings, specifications and project documents, site layouts, grades, and elevations to determine work sequences, task durations, and driving relationships for the construction and installation work.
You will review findings with team members to obtain historical information prior to schedule development. You will review contract documents and plans for a new project. You will review the contractor's electronic baseline schedule against contract requirements.
You will review the contractor's Primavera progress schedule against contract requirements. Analyze critical tasks to determine variances and responsibility. You will discuss possible mitigation measures with the client when impacts occur.
You will prepare and submit a detailed report for review. Work with contractors to ensure issues are resolved. You will review a contractor's delay analysis to determine entitlement.
Analyze the impact to establish cause and responsibility. Evaluate the correct number of impact days to the contract dates. Determine if a portion of the delay is the contractor's responsibility.
Prepare and submit detailed reports for review. You will attend site meetings with clients to present findings and conclusions. You will work with internal project managers to develop conceptual schedules.
Location: Various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; Telecommuting permitted.
Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's* - Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field of study.
Experience: Two (2) * years in the position above or a related scheduling or project controls role.
Education and/or experience must include:
Will accept foreign degree equivalent; will accept a Master's degree in the above fields of study in lieu of experience; will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or work experience.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
