The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of staffing and schedules in the accordance to the department with the Directors, Administrative Coordinator, Administrative Supervisors, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses and Staff. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the staffing computer and daily staffing sheets. Also performs clerical duties, as required.

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Business college desirable.

  • Previous medical experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of: personal computers, copy machines, fax machines, and various printers.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.

  • Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Summary of Duties: Administers the Center's leadership program in compliance with DOL, Corporate and Center policies. Description of Duties: Key Areas of Responsibilities: * Plans and organizes the Student Government Association: Plans and organizes SGA executive board elections. Promotes all SGA activities so students can make choices as to how to use and be active in the Student Government Association. Ensures that all standing committees provide input into policies affecting students' lives on- and off-Center. Conducts regular meetings with executive board, committees, SGA advisors, etc. Ensures that the SGA is administered within DOL, Corporate and Center requirements. Maintains active communication with community, vendor, employer and governmental sources to aid the administration of the leadership program. * Oversees the operation of the Student Benefit Fund: Oversees the operation of the Student Store. Ensures that the store is open when posted. Inventory is conducted on a monthly basis. SGA officers are involved in the management of the store and the accounting system. Ensures that items purchased by the SGA are accounted for and that the Benefit Fund's reports are posted. * Develops, implements and supports an effective and quality leadership program: Implements Leadership I, II, and III classes and workshops. Ensures that all students receive leadership I in CPP. Ensures that all students in a leadership position receive leadership III training. Ensures that all leadership training completed by students is documented in CIS and on their Personal Career Development Plan (PCDP). Maintains active communication with community, vendor, employer and governmental sources to aid the administration of the leadership program. * Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom/training environment, ensuring maximum student motivation and outcomes: Maintains a high degree of discipline within the training area. Adequately prepares for instruction. Integrates math, reading, and writing concepts with employability, and Career Success Standards skills with lesson planning. Continues to stay current on new teaching, instruction and facilitation techniques. Maintains a clean and clutter-free work environment. * Develops and implements curriculum and TARs necessary to attain student, Center and DOL goals: Utilizes Job Corps guidelines and subject course guide. Has an accurate syllabus for the course and completes lesson plans as required. Creates and maintains TAR for subject area. Identifies appropriate materials. Designs instruction to meet individual student needs. Curriculum developed is sufficient for student to pass all tests and certifications. Develops and implements CSS projects. Designs curriculum to help students meet their academic and career technical training needs. * Monitors budget, controls inventory and ensures the SGA/Leadership areas are attractive, clean, safe and in good repair: Completes PRs and check requests to include budget management. Ensures that POs are received and filed initially, and that the items requested are received in a timely manner. Ensures that all equipment assigned to the department is properly accounted for and maintained in good condition. Initiates work orders and ensures that repairs are completed in a timely manner. Ensures that work and training areas and other assigned areas are attractive, clean and safe at all times. Required Skills Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree. One year of relevant experience.
