Shipley Living is recruiting for a hospitality focused and experienced Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler to join our team!

This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales program to insure maximum occupancy and revenue levels are achieved for the Community.

This is a Full Time Position with Benefits

• Develops the work schedule for nursing staff and posts a monthly and daily Schedule for Nursing Management and Staff to review (updates as needed).

• Assures adequate staffing levels, adjusted in accordance with census, budget, and acuity.

• Reports staffing needs and concerns to the Director of Nursing daily and as needed.

• Posts Daily Staffing numbers as required by the Indiana State department of Health.

• Maintains a record of all Schedules "as worked" for auditing and survey compliance.

• Communicates changes in the schedule and staffing levels to the Director of Nursing and assigned Nursing Staff member based on the PPD, Schedule Changes, and Call-Ins.

• Establishes Orientation schedules for New Hires.

• Assists with Interviews & Coordination of the Hiring Process as needed.

• Responsible for replacing nursing call-ins.

• Adds or eliminates nursing staff from schedule as needed to reflect current status of employees.

• Notifies Director of Nursing Services of shifts that cannot be filled when new schedule is posted and when an employee is not able to work a scheduled shift.

• Maintains attendance, vacation and request time off records. Maintains accurate absentee point totals on all nursing staff.

• Maintains a record of Staff who are sent home due to Low Census in order to ensure consistency and fairness.

• Manages the Holiday schedule as assigned.

• Informs Director of Nursing & Director of Human Resources of open positions.

• Maintains updated list of employee telephone numbers.

• Ensures that all nursing staff are in compliance with CPR & First Aid requirements.

• Ensures job specific Orientation checklists are complete prior to sending to Human Resources Department.

• Takes calls to address staffing issues as needed.

• Works shifts (within scope of practice) when necessary to ensure adequate staffing.

• Complete the payroll for nursing staff and other staff as assigned; ensures hours worked, vacation, and other paid leave are paid accurately.

• Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment during emergency situations.
