Scheduler Description

Summary

Responsible for maintaining the employee schedules for the facility in accordance with state, company and facility guidelines to ensure that patient care and staffing needs are appropriately addressed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, reports, and posts schedules of hourly staff.

  • Notifies appropriate personnel of call-ins and assists with securing coverage.

  • Maintains accurate attendance records and notifies management of attendance-related issues.

  • Accurately enters and maintains data relative to scheduling using company software programs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Scheduler Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficient in use of computer.

Physical Demands & Environment

Working in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, reach, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear. May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

VIEW JOBS 4/15/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-14T00:00 Job Description/Summary:# The Kronos (UKG) Scheduler Solution will be replacing the legacy Meditech Scheduling System for Nursing and Respiratory Therapy for Phase 1. #As such, the Kronos Scheduler Project Manager is responsible for the overall project operations of the UCSF Benioff Children#s Hospital Oakland scheduling system replacement. The Kronos Scheduler Project Manager is responsible for identifying the appropriate business subject matter experts, gathering requirements, implementing the appropriate solution, coordinating testing and training with the business users. #This role will also work closely with our Human Resources and Payroll Department to ensure that appropriate policies # procedures are adhered to within the implementation and the new solution properly works with the Kronos Time # Attendance module. The scheduler portion includes, building existing schedules in Kronos Scheduler, customizing schedules to meet business and contract needs by department, drive consistency across the organization regarding scheduling and analysis and implementation of additional features offered in the new solution. Documents procedures and develops workflow efficiencies in collaboration with department management. Coordinates rollout strategy and support users during Go-Live Support. #Provides on-going support to business users. Position Requirements: Minimum Education: BA/BS in clinical discipline, computer science, or other related field. #Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience with staff scheduling and payroll Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of Meditech Scheduling System. #Knowledge, experience with Kronos Time # Attendance. #Knowledge working with hospital information systems to install and upgrade systems. Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus. Ability to research and interpret relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards. Knowledge and understanding of technical disciplines including programmers, systems analyst, and networking in a healthcare environment involving multiple applications and interfaces.
