The Part-time Scheduler is responsible for scheduling routes for high productivity while staying within contractual guidelines for ride times.
This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures, which involves daily communication and interaction with drivers and monitors.
This position is located at our office in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • High productivity route scheduling

  • Maintain contractual guidelines

  • Maximizing drivers hours to achieve daily pick-ups

  • Route trips efficiently, improving on-time performance of clients

  • Ensure daily updates of client and route information

  • Review, print route sheets to ensure daily route accuracy

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
    equivalent

  • Ability to type 45 wpm

  • Previous data entry, 10-key experience, preferred

  • Familiarity with AS400 phone system, preferred

  • Substantial experience in Internet navigation

  • Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications

  • Must possess a valid drivers license

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future Competency Based

    Qualifications:
    * 2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling expertise Exemplary verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to make solid judgment decisions

  • Ability to acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of department processes, policies, and procedures

Ensures all service work order activities are coordinated, planned, scheduled and executed to support field and site based operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to assist individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. * Work order creation, dispatching and closure processes for designated client(s). * Routinely tracked and reported on work orders. * Provide work planning and scheduling for multi-functional work team in accordance with established processes and procedures. * Communicate with clients to collect service requirements and schedule services. * Coordinate scheduling of services provided by OEMs and third party vendors. * Provide logistical coordination between customers and CSA field service team to ensure parts, test equipment and other necessary components for service are ordered, shipped and received. * Maintain customer asset management, inventory, and/or CMMS software systems as applicable for service operations. * Identify process improvements for laboratory service data management, communications and logistics. * Maintain scheduled service work order forecasts. * Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. * Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform successfully in this position. * Minimum 3 years of experience as a Planner & Scheduler. Training or direct experience working with scientific instrumentation or process instrumentation preferable. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.) * Experience with CMMS such as Salesforce, etc. * Working knowledge of service operations including logistics, planning and scheduling. * Understanding of work order management and performance cycles. * Capable of reading and interpreting specifications, written work instructions and procedures. * Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and alignment of metrics to customer requirements. * Comfortable working under pressure and on deadlines. * Ability to follow detailed, defined procedures. * Able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to last minute changes. * Possess excellent customer service skills. * Proven ability to devise and operate key information processes. * High level planning and organizational skills for management of work processes. * Good listening and note-taking skills for understanding of customer requirements. * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and in team environments involving multiple groups. Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment and physical demands described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions. * Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. * Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for long periods of time exceeding 4 hours.
