Answers incoming calls in a courteous manner, determines needed information and directs calls accordingly.
Books, coordinates and reschedules patients' appointments according to protocol.
Maintains and updates current information on assigned physicians schedule, but not limited to, ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
Maintains physician monthly wait list according to protocol.
Schedules procedures and tests appropriately as regulated by patients insurance and preference.
Follows protocol for referrals to other physician's offices and maintain a follow up system for patient care.
Track patient that are on "No Show" list by sending letters to patients.
Disposes of patient information in a proper manner to ensure confidentiality.
Works in other scheduling areas and offices as needed.
May be required to perform clinical duties under the supervision of the physician from time to time.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical office terminology desirable. Must have proficient computer skills.
