The Scheduler performs a variety of tasks in the support of the scheduling and production functions. Performs grid edits, data entry, preparation of production paperwork, and system improvement research. Responsible for administration of change orders and back order resolutions. Prepares change orders, reviews acknowledgements, and verifies delivery dates.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attends appropriate meetings (Backorder and Production) to assist in resolution of issues.
Use mathematics and formulas to calculate custom grid edits.
Enter grid edits into HFA program once edits have been completed.
Troubleshoot backorder, waste, and system issues as they arise.
Maintain accurate records of grid edit data, as well as errors with the solutions.
Daily proofing of grid edits and related production information to improve production efficiencies.
Work in a team environment to develop procedures that assist production improvements.
Learn the engineering specifications of window lines and provide technical support to sales team.
Execute approved customer change orders as required to assure follow up, completion and feedback.
May be called upon to perform capacity department/product leveling as directed and other duties as required.
Creates and executes MPS plans, meets MPS commitments and works within the guidelines of MPS; reflects Milgard's business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.
Incorporates Milgard's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy.

Previous data entry and customer service preferred
Experience in scheduling/manufacturing environment preferred
High School diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Proficient in upper level mathematics
Read, write and understand the English language
Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ten key by touch
Prolonged sitting and excess data entry and typing
Hand dexterity and strength.
Be able to lift up to 30 lbs. periodically.
