Description Essential Functions:

  • Schedule labs, diagnostic test orders, physician consults, follow up appointments, and

procedures as needed.

  • Scan orders into the Electronic Medical Record

  • Routes calls, messages, correspondence and administrative documents to the appropriate

staff.

  • Greets visitors and patients and performs check-in and out including full registration when

necessary.

  • Collects co-pays and balances.

  • Maintains cash drawer, logs, co-pays and other payments, reconciles balances and may

prepare and reconcile deposit slips.

  • Obtain insurance benefit information and prior authorization as needed. Ensures payor is

contracted and in-network with our office and facility.

  • Types, mails, faxes correspondences as needed.

  • Maintains front office and reception area for cleanliness.

  • Maintains good rapport with ancillary facilities and staff.

  • Maintains and updates current information on physician's schedules.

  • Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing.

  • Verifies insurance information as needed.

  • Obtains and maintains current authorization for procedures, chemotherapy/medications,

and imaging services. Requirements Job Requirements:

Must have a High School diploma or GED.

1-3 years of Customer Service experience is required. Medical office experience and scheduling preferred.
