SUMMARY

Plan, prepare, monitor, and expedite production schedules and activities in accordance with customer orders and/or forecast. Provide production status updates to support on time delivery. Be a central point of contact for all master data needs within a certain data domain (i.e. such as vendor/supplier or product hierarchy). Ensure that all requests are prioritized, addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyzes production requirements and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing capabilities.

  • Generate department schedules to establish production sequence in support of the master schedule.

  • Generate reports to communicate production status, inventory status, and general performance as required.

  • Support production leaders in meetings, schedules and assist in resolution of materials and/or schedule constraints.

  • Expedite delayed operations. Modify schedule as required.

  • Analyzes production requirements and plant capacity data.

  • Assist in resolving problems concerning shortages, engineering changes and delivery of materials.

  • Provide input on processes, procedures, materials, and services to support innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Monitor, maintain, and update applicable Master Data in the ERP system in order to match ongoing demand with the Plant's materials and process requirements.

  • Manage work flow and requests for Master Data. Execute on all (change) requests from business effectively to ensure that they are implemented according to standards and processes.

  • Run recurring exception reports and initiate data clean up opportunities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May be assigned as needed.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of plant operation with regard to capacity, scheduling, customer service, MRP, purchase requirements, logistics, ISO, OSHA, DOT while working to integrate the best practice aspects into achieving the plant goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience: Must have at least one (1) year of manufacturing industry experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent education from an accredited institution. Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited institution or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study from a four year college or university and two (2) years related experience preferred.

Language Skills:
Fluent verbal and written skills in English.

Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate in standard business English. Strong written and oral communications skill with the ability to respond to complex inquiries. Ability to write complex instructions and correspondence; and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Must be able to compute rate, ratio and percent; with the ability to develop and interpret graphs used for presentation or reports.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format. Ability to prioritize.

Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to use computer systems such as MRP and standard office software effectively to assist in planning, and documenting specific job requirements. Ability to learn and/or existing experience in SAP.
