We are seeking candidates for the position of Schedule Maker (4007) in the Planning/Service Planning.

Salary Range: Min: $57,512.00 - Mid: $71,890.00 - Max: $86,268.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the preparation, analysis, and revision of transit operating schedules. Conducts preliminary analyses and compiles statistics for reports and records.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the development of schedule changes. Conducts preliminary analysis of Traffic Surveys and Automatic Passenger Count data (APC). Prepares reports on new schedules and changes in existing schedules.
Compares data from existing and proposed schedules to record transit schedule changes. Computes vehicle hours, trips, and miles on transit equipment. Prepares statistical reports for each schedule change. Assists in the examination of equipment requirements for comparison with existing and proposed schedules.
Uses Trapeze scheduling software to revise time point, routing information, running times, and trip times. Uses software and schedule making techniques to block trips and refine operator work.
Assists in preparing revised running times based on traffic surveys and automatic passenger count data.
Determines headway specifications from ridership data and recommends adjustments, as needed.
Develops schedules based on Authority and Union operating contract work rules.
Interviews operations personnel and reviews Union and customer requests for adjustments to schedules. Recommends solutions based on information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree and one year of previous scheduling, service planning, or transportation experience required.
An equivalent combination of experience and education (i.e., two (2) years of related transit scheduling experience, equating to one (1) year of formal post-high school education) may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
Excellent analytical and arithmetic skills required.
Proficiency in map reading required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. Microsoft Excel Intermediate Test required.
