Scaled Agile Framework Program Support Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Support marketplace Agile coaching working across all levels of the enterprise to drive adoption of agile techniques throughout organizational culture, policy, and aspects of organizational transformation and change to create the most agile organization possible. Serve as a coach for product development and integration teams, conducting individual, team, and program-level coaching, including helping teams and clients to adopt a scaled agile mindset, and helping teams to reach the next level in their pursuit of high-performance. Model and nurture an environment with clients and leaders focused on successful product delivery and continuous improvement. Help to build a workplace that people are excited to be a part of, where success is celebrated and gratitude is freely given. Support development projects as a resident expert and weave skills of teaching, coaching, and mentoring with a variety of stakeholders, including sharing knowledge and unlocking the wisdom of others. Communicate with government or commercial staff and at-home in front of groups, facilitating common Agile events and program level planning. Work as part of a Booz Allen-wide network of Agile coaches that collaborate and sharpen one another.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with working in the Agile framework, including Scrum, Kanban, or Lean

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach

  • Experience with successfully delivering Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Knowledge of Agile test-driven development, automated testing, and continuous integration environments

  • Knowledge of software, engineering, development, and product ship cycles, including Scrum and Agile development techniques, such as release planning and tracking

  • Knowledge of business functions and business operations, strategies, and objectives

  • Ability to manage product roadmaps and recognize and perform timely impediment recognition and escalation

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with scaling Agile teams or starting new multi-team program

  • Experience with coaching on a multi-team program

  • Experience with coaching in distributed teams or a multi-site environment

  • Experience with delivering high velocity projects

  • Ability to work on the program full-time for 24 months

  • Ability to work with distributed development teams that span multiple geographies, time zones, and cultures

  • BS degree in CS

  • Agile Certifications, including PMI-ACP, CSP, and ICAgile ATF or ACC

  • PMP Certification

Our Systems Engineering Technical Center (SETC) is seeking an experienced engineer to expand its agile consulting capabilities. As an Agile Systems Engineer, a candidate would assess, analyze, and advise sponsor organizations on agile adoption and transformation. A successful candidate would be self-directed, adaptive, and curious, and bring a variety of professional experience to address complex problems for MITRE's sponsors. The Agile Systems Engineer who fulfills this position will advise sponsors in developing and deploying capabilities faster than ever before. The engineer will engage a variety of sponsors in a team-oriented environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged, and impact is recognized. This Agile Systems Engineer will have opportunities to change the way sponsors operate. This position is based in McLean, VA. Day to day responsibilities: * Assess client organizations to determine whether, and to what degree, agile practices could help management to better meet its objectives. * Recommend organizational changes (e.g., process, roles, tools) to help organizations improve capability development and delivery. * Plan and execute agile transitions. * Coach key stakeholders in the performance of agile roles. * Perform as agile SME in the shaping of project work. * Provide technical support for initiatives and internal research. Basic Qualifications: * Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to possess and maintain a DoD clearance * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field * 5+ years applicable work experience Requirements Qualifications: * 5+ years demonstrated success in implementing agile frameworks and principles (e.g., SAFe, Lean, Kanban) * Performed organizational assessments, including the development of findings and communication of recommendations. * Advising management on the planning and execution of organizations transitioning to agile practices. * Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, success in guiding participants to consensus * Participated in all phases of the systems development or software engineering lifecycle * Experience and interest in planning and conducting (occasional) agile training sessions Preferred Qualifications: * Served in any of the following roles: Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager, or Release Train Engineer. * Experience working with Government organizations. * Served in consulting role with client-facing experience * Broad knowledge of cloud architecture and web services. * Advanced degree in related field of study. * Qualifies candidates who possess a current/active US Government clearance are preferred.
