Job Description

Recycling company currently seeking a scale operator/weighmaster with advancement opportunity in a growing industry. Experience preferred but not required. Steady, year-round work.

Job Title: Scale operator/ Weigh Master

Purpose: The scale operator is responsible for weighing inbound & outbound scrap trucks & vehicles and paying customers.

Area of interest: Administrative Management trainee



Requirements:
  • Basic math and computer skills necessary
  • Will learn how to operate industrial truck scale
  • Ability to learn different types of scrap metal
  • Excellent phone etiquette to deal with customers
  • Experienced in weight or scale operation preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must pass criminal background and drug test screening requirements.

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 Overview Position #3215 Operates computer and peripheral equipment. Monitors and supports computers and related equipment. Provides technical assistance and support as necessary. Maintains a secure and organized Data Center environment. Responsibilities * Operates computer and peripheral equipment. Executes and submits processing jobs on a variety of computer systems contained within multiple data centers as specified on the daily operations schedule or on demand as required. * Performs routine and non-scheduled backups of critical data as specified by daily operation schedule or as required. * Produces and distributes on various print devices routine daily, weekly, monthly, and on-demand reports per published distribution lists. * Monitors, controls, and attends to printers and printing functions on various systems located within and outside the IS Department. Attends to tape and other backup devices located on various systems within the data centers. * Monitors systems located within the data centers for error messages and situations requiring intervention. Responds appropriately and or takes corrective actions when necessary. Reports and escalates to appropriate party situations or conditions beyond scope of ability or authority that require intervention. * Monitors and supports computers and related equipment. Performs preventative maintenance. Maintains a clean a safe Data Center environment, performing such tasks as replacing ink or toner in print devices, and running tape drive cleaning procedures as required. * Ensures adequate levels of supplies required for smooth Data Center operation are maintained and replenished. Assists and work with third parties to diagnose and repair equipment located in the Data Centers. * Repairs equipment within reasonable ability to do so. Assists those performing upgrades or repairs that would fall outside of the scope of responsibility. Escalates to appropriate third party issues with systems and equipment that falls outside of the scope of ability or authority. * Provides technical assistance and support as necessary. Assists technical support engineers as necessary or requested in work being performed in the Data Centers. Works with Help Desk / Desktop support engineers to diagnose and resolve issues with computers , printers and related equipment. Provides Help Desk support as dictated by shift or conditions. * Escorts Non-IS staff and third party vendors into Data Centers as required, maintaining the visitor log as per policy. Ensures adequate levels of supplies are maintained for smooth Data Center operation. * Maintains a secure and organized Data Center environment. Maintains and files processing logs, run sheets, distribution lists as per established procedures. Promote and maintain and orderly and safe work area. Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent. * One year experience in a systems environment with similar responsibilities. AS400 experience a plus. * Basic networking training and knowledge of basic personal computer support. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and advanced word processing skills preferred.
