We seek a dedicated indivudal who will:

  • Operate the scale house computer to accurately weight trucks, monitor inbound/outbound truck activity, communicate with various departments and keep accurate records of all tickets, manifests and related office supplies.

  • Assist the Operations Assistant with recordkeeping, filing and preparing standard reports.

  • Greet and direct customers and other traffic and answer questions accurately in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

  • Ensure that incoming waste loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

  • Provide general upkeep of the scalehouse and other areas as needed; perform special projects and other duties as required.

  • Ensure that all customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention.

Position Requirements


To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience with administrative, clerical and accounting activities. Candidate must be highly organized, along with having knowledge of basic principles of bookkeeping and records management. Must possess skills in working within deadlines to complete projects or assignments, along with operating a computer utilizing a variety of business software. Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) part of the work day, along with being exposed to a physical environment which involves dirt, odors and noise. Ability to multi-task and focus on day-to-day details. Skills in Microsoft programs, specifically Excel are preferred.
