PART TIME SCALE HOUSE ATTENDANT

Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the General Manager this position is responsible for helping manage daily retail transactions, Inbound and Outbound Scale Operations. As a Scale House Attendant, you are expected to communicate professionally with the public, collaborate with clients, subcontractors, field leadership, Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll and other departments.

Part Time Position Hours alternating weekly up to 30hrs:

Week 1 : Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00 - 5:00pm

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00 - 5:00pm & Saturday 8:00 - 2:00pm (Mandatory Saturday)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Open/Close Scale House Daily

  • Answer Phone

  • Direct Calls to Proper Department

  • Take Deliveries

  • Answer General Questions

  • Daily Ticketing in SMS Turbo

  • Greet Customer/Answer Questions

  • Take Order

  • Collect Money/On account

  • Communicate with yard operator on order

  • Daily Cash Reconciliation

  • Open Cash Register

  • Daily Cash Spreadsheet

  • Close Cash Register

  • Weigh Trucks

  • Day to Day Trucks

  • Keep current days deliveries running efficiently by communicating with and tracking drivers

  • Keep current day yard inventories stocked

  • Work with dispatch on retail delivery needs daily

  • Sales

  • Work with Operations/Sales Manager on retail pricing

  • Make Retail Delivery Sales

  • Inventory

  • Communicate with Loader Operator about yard inventory/needs

  • Communicate with Dispatch about yard inventory/need

Job Requirements

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or similar

  • Bilingual a HUGE plus!

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while working under time restraints.

  • Proficient and Professional communicating with the public

  • Experience with Heavy Trucking and/or Hauling Capabilities a plus

  • Knowledge of materials at a yard would be a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite

  • Word, Excel and SMS Turbo a plus

Compensation Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.

  • $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, non-exempt
  • DOE
