Scaffold builders are responsible for designing, building and taking down of various types of scaffolding using various types of scaffolding systems or materials. Must be well versed in safe work practices while working with scaffolding in operating production units.

Ensure a safe work environment.
Participate in Peak's safety programs by staying up to date with the online training modules in Virtual Training Assistant (VTA). Review and comply with the various Client's safety programs.
Design, build, and take down various types of scaffolding using various types of scaffolding systems or materials.
Your responsibility includes representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Uses fall protection equipment
Use proper methods of storing, handling and inspecting scaffolding materials
Use, identify and explain the basic guidelines for planning, erecting, and using scaffolding.
Use and maintenance of trade hand tools, power tools, commonly-used lifting tools.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledgeable on the types of loads on scaffold platforms, and is able to calculate loads on scaffold platforms.
Ability to calculate wind loads on specified scaffold configurations.
Knowledgeable of the safety considerations and components of suspension scaffolding.
Understands the applications and safe operation of scissors lifts and boom lifts. Knowledgeable on Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations that regulate the scaffolding industry.
Must be well versed in safe work practices while working with scaffolding in operating production units.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE
