The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple programs/projects concurrently to include quoting material, generating purchase requisition worksheets, keying purchase requisitions, completing Vendor Managed Inventory stock checks, and submitting material pick request. Candidate will oversee the Master Equipment and Master Parts List to ensure the project schedules are met and expedite material as required.
Will check all required vendors for DFARS compliance and send initiatives as necessary. Required to initiate New Vendor applications through HICX upon justified request. Will delegate purchase requisition approval authority.
Candidate must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment to include managing multiple projects/project managers, email requests, large equipment lists, and vendor follow up and tracking. Candidate must be a quick learner who possesses superior organization, follow up, and Microsoft Outlook management skills. Candidate must be able to work mostly independently with minimal supervision and also posses the ability to work as part of a team.
Candidate must be able to adapt to rapidly changing request and adapt accordingly. Training will be provided as required.
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.
