Position Summary:

  • Maintains, repairs, installs various types of electronic and electromechanical equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving devices; micro-, mini-, and mainframe computers, terminals and peripheral equipment; industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; video and optical equipment; and industrial robotic devices.

  • Usually works one on one with the customer to resolved equipment issues.

  • Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment operations through performance of organizational, intermediate and preventive maintenance actions.

Essential Functions:

  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating integrated sub-systems, and incorporating engineering changes, and troubleshooting high-fidelity, system-level training suites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • AA degree in an electronics technology; or received military electronics technical training; or obtained equivalent training/experience.

  • Have major system level maintenance experience and complex fault isolation abilities. Have a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated competence through satisfactory progressive performance in electronic maintenance.

  • Requires demonstrated experience to include; large scale, complex D/A integration; simulation; large scale, complex digital interfaces; software maintenance; and comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of training devices.

  • Experience with Simulators, Information Technology, Networking, PCs, Software Installation, Windows XP, 7, and 10, considered plus. Experience with travel reports, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required on a daily basis.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance and Government Common Access Card (CAC)

Must be able to travel when needed with short notice
