The Patient Cost Estimation Supervisor is responsible for the management of estimate staff and price transparency initiatives related to the development of estimate templates and the implementation of other EMR system changes necessary to enable Bayhealth to provide accurate patient estimates. Analyzes procedure and payer data to increase estimate offerings and improve automation. Compiles performance reports documenting the accuracy of estimates provided by service line. Experience managing to deadlines is essential. The position requires a detailed understanding of all Price Transparency initiatives and subsequent pricing challenges facing the Bayhealth organization in a complex health care environment. Candidate will have extensive knowledge of the revenue cycle processes in a hospital and physician office setting, charge master, patient benefit design, and an ability to communicate information surrounding price estimates by service.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma
Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance
Five years' experience in financial counseling, patient accounting or other financial industry role whereby contracted pricing data was analyzed.
Working knowledge of hospital and/or physician coding rules
Demonstrated analytical experience
Five or more years of Financial Counseling, Patient Access or Revenue Cycle
Intermediate computer literacy and calculator experience. Experience in Microsoft Excel.
EPIC Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Physician Billing (PB) certification
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)

Must possess strong understanding of the local and national managed care environment, including, but not limited to, managed care policies and procedures, reimbursements mechanisms, and medical office procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills. Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Experience with Medical Billing and Reimbursement preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting in a customer facing environment, preferred.
Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel; demonstrated competency in Excel test
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; must demonstrate ability to articulate information in a clear and informative manner.
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
