Business Segment Overview - Corporate:

Position Purpose:
A Small Business Administration Operations Specialist will process approved SBA 7(a), USDA, and other government-guaranteed loans as they relate to SBA/USDA secondary markets. You will work with originating lenders, operations, government agencies including the SBA, USDA, Fiscal Transfer Agent, Clearing and Custodial agents. You will collect, review, and process documentation and ensure proper documentation of loans as specified and approved by government guarantee program requirements.
Responsibilities
Primary duties will include:
Work closely to support and provide operational support to the SBA Secondary Markets Team
Identify and collect documentation in support of, and as specified, for loans and pools
Review and analyze supporting documents (SBA/USDA forms, loan notes, loan approvals, third-party reports, financial statements, etc.) needed to process and settle SBA/USDA loans and pools
Tracking SBA/USDA loan positions, settlement dates/processes, and pool assembly processes - working closely with the SBA Secondary Markets Team to maintain accuracy
Responsible for staying apprised of changes to the SBA SOP to ensure compliance
Maintain currency in loan processing policies and procedures, SBA & Lender policies, SBA Underwriting guidelines and regulations, and laws and regulations that govern commercial lending
Maintain an understanding of team expectations and company policies
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Demonstrate compliance with all firm and agency regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Work independently, and with a team to achieve desired outcomes

Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
Familiarity with SBA loan, pool and secondary market documents is preferred, but not required
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail
Effective communication skills - oral and written, with an emphasis on customer service
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
Ability to take direction, work both independently and within a team environment
Adaptable to change in a highly regulated industry

Education / Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
Series 99, or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 2 months of employment)
Working environment:
Onsite 5 days a week

Regular fixed schedule, with occasional, but rare, travel and after-market-hours work
Climate-controlled office environment
Minimal physical requirements other than the occasional light lifting of boxed materials
Hiring Salary Range $50000-$75000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
