Wintrust Financial Corporation (Wintrust) is a financial services company based in Rosemont, Illinois, with approximately $30 billion in assets. This position is responsible for loan production of SBA loan products (7a, Express and 504). This includes, but is not limited to:
Serving as the team's primary contact with customers and prospects
Source SBA loan opportunities through Wintrust Community Bank network.
Commence developing contacts so the SBA banker can self-source SBA loan opportunities in the future.
Work with SBA closing department to ensure timely and accurate closing of SBA Loans.
Clearing exceptions, monitoring annual financial performance including site visits and ensuring completeness of loan file.
Monitoring delinquency and collecting past due payments.
1.Generate new small business relationships for Wintrust Community Banks (internal referrals) through utilization of the SBA loan programs and Wintrust treasury management services.
2.Make and Maintain relationships of small businesses bankers, business bankers and middle market lenders within Wintrust Community Banks.
3.When appropriate, introduce other Wintrust partners to small business contacts, prospects and bank customers.
4.Evaluates SBA loan requests using a thorough knowledge of loan policy, guidelines, procedures and SBA standard operating procedures. If appropriate, move the transaction into the credit department for formal underwriting.
5.Analyzes industries and have a thorough knowledge of risk associated with those industries. Assesses the risk inherent in each industry and suggest appropriate financing structures accordingly.
6.Monitors portfolio for individual loan delinquencies. Work with originating banker and take action to collect payments.
7.Monitor tickler system report (Baker Hill) for accurate tracking and reporting of borrower required reporting including financial statements, tax returns, annual site visits, etc. Takes proactive steps to remedy exceptions keeping them to a minimum at all times.
8.Exhibits thorough knowledge of fair lending issues, rules and various regulations that directly impact the commercial lending area (e.g. Regulation B, FACT Act, HMDA, CRA, etc.)
9.Seeks alternative means of financing or counter offers for all borrowers, if appropriate, when it is determined that the original request cannot be accommodated.
