Job Description:
The Small Business Portfolio Specialist I is responsible for daily activities for Small Business Loan Portfolio including renewals, temporary extensions and monitoring; also includes customer contact with stores, SBRMS and borrowers.
Depth & Scope:
Performs a review of maturing loans in advance of maturity to determine the necessity of a renewal or annual review
Also determines the level of underwriting to be performed along with business and personal financial information requirements to ensure compliance with Credit Policy
Upon determination of financial statement requirements, contacts borrower directly to obtain financial information and reviews prior to submitting to Credit Underwriting team
Determines values for key Credit Policy and underwriting data fields along with data integrity validation of system pre-filled fields
Reviews and approves or declines loan transfer requests from Commercial to Small Business to ensure compliance with Credit Policy exclusion criteria
Approves or declines requests to release collateral
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
1-3 Years of related experience
Strong analytical and accounting skills
In-depth knowledge of small business commercial credit decision process
Excellent analytical and accounting skills
Project management experience
Communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills
PC skills
