We provide classroom and on-the-job training as well as a van, tools, and uniforms. Our Satellite TV Technicians/Installers are responsible for multiple customer visits daily which could include completing site surveys, installing satellite equipment, ensuring a quality broadband internet connection and educating our customers on our award-winning DISH Satellite TV services. Bring your computer, electrical, maintenance/repair, general labor, cable, military, customer service and/or customer relationship experience to DISH!

Satellite TV Installers/Technician Primary

  • Conducting site surveys - determine the best positioning of our equipment for strongest signal reception

  • Installing cutting edge technology - place mounts, satellite dishes and receivers while ensuring broadband connectivity

  • Educating customers - review order with the customer and teach them the basics to use and enjoy their new service and equipment

  • Providing Dish Smart Home Services - successful technicians offer our customers additional services and products while earning incentives and building new skill sets that will propel them into the future of in-home services delivery

  • Experience and Requirements

A successful Satellite TV Installer/Technician will have the following:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High energy, being resourceful, and strong multi-tasking skills

  • Basic computer skills; basic electronics and/or audio/video knowledge is helpful.

  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70 lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all climates and remain within the individual weight requirement of 335 lbs.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and evenings.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; college or technical/vocational school a plus.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the State you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets DISH's minimum safety standard.

  • Cable industry experience is a plus.

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 Job Description SUMMARY Have a basic knowledge of the plants layout Compressed Air system, Chilled Water, Recycled Water And City Water systems, Electrical Distribution Panels, Buss Bar Disconnects, Primary Circuit Breakers. Maintains all equipment in all areas of the plant. Covers all emergency break downs and repairs in a timely manner. Possess basic troubleshooting skills electrical and mechanical. Have basic welding and fabricating skills. Performs lubrication and filter replacement on all manufacturing equipment. Duties include Oil Changes, Greasing, inspections and filter replacement, Painting and cleaning. This position also has the responsibility to perform any mechanical and electrical tasks as assigned. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: * Ability to complete routine assignments without direct supervision. * Comply with all Company policies and procedures. * Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description. * Possess the skill and ability to the top skilled tech level I position in the plant and perform all basic mechanical and electrical duties required. * Cover all emergency break downs and repairs in a timely manner. * Make shift rounds a minimum of twice per shift checking all Air Compressors, Chillers Compressors, Chilled Water Pumps, Pit Water Pump check Dry Blend and Silos for leaks, repair and clean up as needed report any and all Powder leaks. * Check, add or change oil levels in gear boxes and pumps i.e. Extruders, Pullers, Saws, etc. * Maintain/service plant wide systems. * Ability to determine when filters need cleaned or replaced all equipment * No Supervisory responsibility EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS * Requires High school diploma or (GED); and a minimum of 2 years experience in this department or three or more years in industrial maintenance. Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Proficiency with Windows based software (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills * Results oriented with the passion, initiative, and drive to achieve * Effective 2-way communication skills (verbal, written & listening) * Analytical & detail oriented PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
