Tier 4 Operations and maintenance (O&M) support for satellite communications (SATCOM) terminals and related equipment. Perform equipment status monitoring and operations. Coordinate and respond to messages from interfacing organizations.
Provides technical / management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
Troubleshoot links, trunks, circuits and associated equipment/systems. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades as required.
In-depth familiarity with various satellite technologies such as X, C, Ku, and Ka band. Must also be skilled working on large (greater than 15-meter) satellite antennas as well as microwave equipment.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Candidate must have a total of 15 years of applicable experience.
The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School degree and 15 years of work history OR an Associate's and 12 years, a Bachelors' and 10 years, a Masters and 8 years or a PhD and 4 years of work history.
Position requires ability to satisfy a government administered high risk screening. Position requires all personnel to work a rotating shift schedule. Shifts available include 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am.
Certifications: MOS or Military Training; SATCOM Ground Course, MNC, Link Budget Analysis tools
Required Clearance: TSSCI with Polygraph.
