Responsibilities

Serves as an Operations Supervisor in a Level 10 terminal facility responsible for planning and directing operations within delegated areas of responsibility. Provides first-line supervision to a team of ATCS personnel. Provides training, coaching and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building throughout his/her area(s) of responsibility. Continuously reviews work processes to assure that results meet the agency's mission and the customer's needs, add value to facility services and are efficiently achieved. Serves as a member of the management team to improve organizational performance and to meet strategic goals. When assigned as Watch Supervisor, assumes overall management and supervision of the control room.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.

Qualifications

Candidates must show specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as:
1)Must have held an FAA 2152-FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks);

OR
2) Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in a terminal or en route facility; OR

NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he or she has been performing the higher graded work;
3) Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in a terminal or en route facility. (see NOTE)

NOTE: There are no restrictions on who can apply to MSS vacancies at those facilities with 3 or less MSS levels.

In addition to the qualifications listed above for MSS positions, the chart on MSS positions will be used to determine which career level applicants are qualified to make application.

Candidates will be evaluated on four "Managerial Selection Factors" and Selection Factor 5.

Managerial Selection Factors: Candidates must provide separate narrative responses to address his/her experience in MWP Selection Factors 1 through 4. In the text box following each Leadership and Management Dimensions, please provide a brief explanation of your possession of the applicable Leadership and Management Dimension. Work you'll do The Cyber Risk Vigilant Fusion Center Level 2 Analyst conducts network analysis of targets, operates daily open source research, resulting in various reports and alerts, and possesses extensive knowledge on network, endpoint, threat intelligence, as well as the functioning of specific applications or underlying IT infrastructure, and has some experience with forensics tools, malware analysis, closely involved in developing, tuning and implementing threat detection analytics. Qualifications Required: * BA or BS in Computer Science or Information Management desirable or equivalent work experience * Additional certification include Certified Intrusion Analyst (GIAC), CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Expert Penetration Tester (CEPT) * Willing to work any of the three 10 hour shifts to offer 24 hours support service * Two - Five years of information security related experience, in areas such as: security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, and vulnerability management or testing, log analysis, intrusion detection.
