The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has a SATCOM Team Lead opening at Ft. Meade, MD.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:

Our customer, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides, operates, and assures command and control of Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to the warfighter, national leaders and other mission and coalition partners across the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. The SATCOM Team contributes to the overall success of the DISA IE3 Communications Gateway Division mission by providing Enterprise SATCOM Teleport operational management and situational awareness to ensure the availability and integrity of SATCOM services in support of Global Solutions Management-Operations (GSM-O) II contract requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position is 8x5 and leads a team of 8-10 SATCOM Watch Officers supporting the DISA Joint Operations Center (DJOC) and is responsible for reporting and training personnel on contractual performance standards and trouble ticket lifecycle management for a 24/7 Operations Center.

• Assists with the evaluation and performance of existing SATCOM networks and assesses the effectiveness supporting user mission requirements.

• Provides technical analysis of SATCOM (including space, control and ground) status and performance data to optimize network supportability and provide recommendations and alternatives for network requirements that are unsupportable.

• Make recommendations to the associated Consolidated - SATCOM Systems Expert (C-SSE) on routine and emergency changes to assigned systems due to system status changes to minimize user impacts.

• Support system performance monitoring, trending, and problem management resolution.

• Support SATCOM anomaly resolution to minimize impact to the user community.

• Support the development and maintenance of SATCOM Knowledge Management (KM).

• Support the development of operations guidance including: Work Instructions, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 8-12 years of related experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Must possess 10 years of relevant SATCOM experience.

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (SEC+, or equivalent)

• Active Top Secret Clearance w/SCI eligibility

• Advanced understanding of DoD SATCOM operations, management and services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Command and Control (C2) and Joint Operations experience.

• Experience with three or more of the following: Alarm surveillance, Fault management, Performance management, Wideband Remote Monitoring System (WRMS), Common Network Planning Software (CNPS), DoD Teleport/Gateway Systems, SATCOM architecture and signal flow.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
