Job Summary: Accountable for providing overall direction and service ownership for SAS Grid and statistical software solutions. Responsible for design, development and support of applications including analyzing business needs and translating them into solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple SAS Environments across the Institute. Ensuring uptime to meet business need and addressing any performance issues.

  • Perform necessary patching, upgrades, and installation of Hotfixes across the environments.

  • Work with the SAS community to develop a roadmap for the technology supporting best class use of technologies and initiatives for future state.

  • Troubleshoot issues with installations and user's configurations and set-up.

  • Maintain and develop Knowledge Base Articles and Wiki Pages to document standard work and troubleshooting guides.

  • Collaborate with others in the Global Technology Solutions group to support initiatives. Work with infrastructure team supporting Networking, Storage, and Firewall impacting the SAS environments.

  • Follow all Compliance guidelines set forth by RTI. Mitigate Risks and Security Vulnerabilities Risks.

  • Manage the work of outside partners and external resources.

  • Assist with licensing, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of statistical software including SAS, SAS Grid, SPSS, Stata, R, Stat Transfer, and experience troubleshooting issues and performing root cause analysis.

  • SAS programming experience, knowledge of how SAS products function together in a distributed environment and data source connectivity to other architectures (Oracle/SQL).

  • Understanding basic commands necessary to monitor jobs, performing system monitoring, log analysis, performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning in a Linux based SAS Grid environment.

  • Deep understanding of Linux operating system

  • Understanding the operability of Enterprise Storage Solutions, Virtual Machine, and Networking systems.

  • Ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks at one time.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts.

The work you'll do as a SAS Administrator: * Setup Infrastructure on cloud or on-premise to install and maintain SAS analytics and data management software * Install SAS application software and complex multi-machine deployments * Configure SAS software and applications as per customer design documents * Perform day-to-day administration of the infrastructure through monitoring of the servers and addressing any performance or access issues * Upgrade customer environment to the latest versions of SAS software to address business, technology, or compliance issues * Develop SAS programs, shell scripts and other utilities to support overall goal of end to end automation * Provide user, data and security administration including integration with enterprise directories and data encryption. * Back-up and restore SAS environments * Migrate jobs to grid environment and improve performance * Migrate jobs to an elastic cloud environment using SAS within containers * Participate in completion and implementation solution documentation * Participate in internal projects as required * Travel nationally/internationally up to 50% Show more Show less Qualifications Here's what you need: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience * Minimum of 2 years of experience in SAS Administration Bonus points if you have: * Experience with Windows and Unix based multimachine SAS installations * Deep understating of SAS Authentication and Authorization processes * Exposure to 9.4 platform with inbuilt application tier is preferred * Strong migration/modernization skills i.e. must have performed migration of a full SAS production environment to a newer release/platform * Exposure to clustered compute and mid-tier preferred * Exposure to SAS Grid environment preferred * Proficient in Base SAS, SQL, MS Excel, Unix, Linux Scripting, SAS Platform administration. * Should have certification of SAS Platform Administration for SAS 9 * Certification in AWS, Azure or GCP preferred * Experience in Hadoop Platform Administration would be plus Important Information Travel For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.
