Senior Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Integration Engineer will be a part of a dynamic team that will drive development of programs/projects across the enterprise and determine integration/interface requirements. Applicant will be responsible for working with Software Developers, Solution Architects and Systems Engineer to deliver end-to-end mission solutions to operations.

  • Provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware/software components
  • Lead and/or participate in all aspects/phases of development of complex ground systems
  • Plans, coordinates, and documents solutions to total systems using internally created and/or commercially available of-the-shelf products and cloud-based technologies
  • Analyses, designs, tests and evaluates systems that handle Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data through the TCPED process
  • Plans and coordinates data management practices to treat and handle SAR data as a resource
  • Work and integrate across SAR Platforms/data sources and associated systems
  • Work collaboratively with variety of customer including technical, managerial, financial and administrative to implement sustainable technical, organization and logistical strategies
  • Identify, review, and assess new and existing system architecture to come up with new CONOPS to reduce product delivery timeline and time to market
  • Apply contemporary technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, HPC, and AWS to engineering problems

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline with 8 - 10 yrs of experience, or a Master's with 6 - 8 yrs of experience.
  • Experience in government or industry integration systems that process SAR data
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages
  • Familiar with modern data science techniques, machine learning, and/or computer vision technologies
  • Prior experience, or current interest, with Cloud Services (AWS certification preferred)
  • Previous NRO, NGA and/or other relevant work experience
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience
  • Experience with TCPED process
  • Experience in Agile & Scrum practices and implementations

Responsibilities Employee will be working on a small team supporting a GEOINT program office that is responsibile for delivering a new unique capability. The individual will be responsible to perform systems engineering tasks in support of the program office with a focus on verification and validation efforts, integration activities and requirements. The employee will be responsible for direct customer interface and coordination amongst the small internal team. Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills required for this position. GEOINT knowledge required. * Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. * Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. * Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. * Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. * Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. * Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole. * Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. * Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. * Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. * Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. * Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. * Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements. Qualifications * Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D. * Verification and Validation * Demonstrated ability to work well with other government and contrators in a challenging work environment. * Requires little direction to perform tasks. * GEOINT knowledge required. * Experience working on system acquisitions through all phases of life cycle. * Ability to solve problems.
