Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. Apple's SAP Global Systems organization has an immediate opening for SAP Logistics Systems manager. The role requires a combination of SAP and non-SAP functional and technical knowledge to deliver complex projects in a highly integrated, heterogeneous landscape working in multi-functional teams on deeply meaningful work assignments. You will partner with the business and technical teams to deliver solutions for Supply Chain Operations and related business groups.
10+ year SAP implementation experience 5+ year of high performance engineering/functional team management In-depth experience with Supply Chain business processes and solutions (both SAP and non SAP) Working knowledge of SAP systems and technologies and any experience with planning transition to S4 HANA is a good extra Curiosity to learn new system and technologies, even beyond SAP Familiarity and experience in Machine Learning and Blockchain topics will be a plus Ability to write high quality specifications & test scripts Strong analytical skills in solving technical, process and business problems Able to handle running multiple large projects at a time Self starter, historical record of continuing innovation Experience in leading a global and diverse team Track record of collaboration across matrix organization and good interpersonal skills Remarkable presentation skills

We are seeking an extraordinary leader to lead a team of hardworking and high performing project managers. Most projects you handle will involve Apple Operations and also close ties with e-commerce, OEM/DC, carriers, call center operations, hardware engineering and retail.

MS/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Operations or Engineering a plus

This person will own the supply, planning and overall performance of the iPad product line for AppleCare. 5 to 7 years of forecasting, planning, purchasing, inventory or related experience Excellent knowledge or expertise in forecasting, demand planning, Inventory management and supply chain management Solid analytical skills combined with business insight to make operational decisions on the fly Ability to communicate effectively and influence executive management Experience with any MRP planning software solutions such as SAP, Oracle, etc. Proven background leading additional projects and initiatives while delivering on strategic programs and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Experience in Electronic product Service Supply Chain a strong plus APICS certification is preferred You will act as a focal point in the communication and execution of product demand and supply plan to meet AppleCare's overall goals. A successful candidate has strong analytical skills, a collaborative and proactive attitude, and the ability to think broadly and to be able to work with senior managers and planners. This position requires strong knowledge and experience in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization. You are also skillful at collaborating cross-functionally to achieve outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment. - Responsible for AppleCare iPad Supply planning for WW and AMR regions - Responsible for key performance metrics such as backlog, fill rate, inventory turn, and vendor forecast accuracy - Analyze forecasted demand, inventory, develop weekly supply plans that meet customer demands and that meet AppleCare's target of fill rate, while minimizing total inventory cost - Execute weekly plans optimally to minimize future gaps and maximize inventory turns - Analyze and set system parameters to optimize inventory and meet service level goals while minimizing costs - Maintain and update MRP master data for planning parts at various plants. Also responsible for initiating Engineering Change requests based on material life cycle - Run "what if" simulations to optimize material/capacity constraints while minimizing impact to customer satisfaction - Analyze and resolve product backlogs, fill rates daily. Identify problem areas and drive appropriate functional groups to correct - Work closely with internal teams such as WW SDM and Factory Ops teams to ensure sufficient capacity and materials to meet supply requirements - Coordinate weekly conference calls with Europe and APAC teams to sync on supply-demand matching regionally and globally - Publish weekly OEM forecast; ensure deltas and gaps are clearly communicated and bridged - Lead system enhancements and work with key business partners and IT to implement continuous system improvements - Oversee key cross-functional projects, communicate project timelines and impacts to the team, be the liaison between supply planning team and other cross functional teams and IT project managers. - Less than 10% travel expected Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Business, Supply Chain Management, Math, Engineering, or Logistics is preferred Or a Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Math, Engineering or Logistics with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
